Berwick Food & Beer Festival 2025: May Update

Berwick Food and Beer Festival has been a pinnacle event in the local calendar for almost 20 years now and as Berwick Slow Food we are super proud of that legacy.

Over the past 2 decades a lot has changed and therefore the event itself has needed to adapt. As Festival Directors we don’t take changes lightly and for the past few years we’ve always tried to be careful not to change too much at once!

There have always been a few crafters and creators, but this year we’ve decided to rebrand the producers market into an “Artisan Market” and we hope to welcome a diverse range of bakers, makers, and creators of all kinds to Berwick Food and Beer Festival to showcase their talents and wares on our platform.

We’ve also introduced this year a “new business discount” for a 50% stall fee discount to regional & local, new businesses that have been trading for 18 months or less. We hope this supports budding businesses to get involved! The response has already been fantastic to this but we would like to encourage a few more applicants so if you run a new business, or know someone who does, please get in touch at [email protected]

This year we already have a really exciting line up of traders for you to enjoy. There is some fantastic street food too in both the market and by the marquee this year.

We are also really excited to be working with The Straw Yard again but this time to bring you an immersive theatre experience of a ye olde pub! Plus you’ll find live comedy in their space from Damp Knight both Friday & Saturday evening.

As always the marquee will be filled with bars and live music all weekend, expect exceptional local ales, craft beer, ciders and gin & wine! We’ll also be welcoming our outside bars on the green again too so this is where you’ll find Belisimmo Vino, Pineapple Head and Stranger Points gin again.

This festival really is the culmination of a huge community effort and we are always looking for helpful hands to get stuck in with us over the weekend so if you’d like to get involved and volunteer with us please drop us an email on [email protected] – we’d love to have you on board!

For now that’s all folks but please keep an eye on our socials for more festival updates! We can’t wait to see you there – Ray and Millie McRobbie
