Meet the Team

The Berwick Slow Food Management Committee

Berwick Slow Food group is run by a team of volunteers who make up the Management Committee, including three elected officers (Chair, Treasurer and Secretary) as well as up to eight other elected members who share various roles including a Slow Food UK Liaison member, Events Coordinator, Communications & Marketing Coordinator and the Berwick Food & Beer Festival Director/s.

I retired a few years ago from a long career in social and community work. My interest in slow food has grown from recognising the connection between poor nutrition and poor performance, particularly poor mental and physical health. I believe everyone has a right to have access to good food on a daily basis and good food knowledge.
